Need to register your company with EPA? If you are working outside of the states listed below, you'll need to fill out this application and send it in to the EPA before working on any homes or child-occupied facilities built prior to 1978.
The following states administer their own RRP program. These links will take you to the state agency responsible for overseeing the rule.
Here are the EPA's RRP rules as they were written in 2008. Each state that administers its own RRP program follows these rules or a more strict version.
May 2010: The EPA issued an amendment to remove the "Opt Out" provision. Read about it here.
May 2010: The EPA issued a proposal to expand the RRP Rules to Commercial and Public buildings. Read about it here.
May 2010: The EPA issued a proposal to require Clearance tests after certain RRP jobs. UPDATE July 2011: Many of the proposed changes were not approved.
August 2011: The EPA issued an amendment to clarify many common questions about the RRP Rule. This includes better defining vertical containment and HEPA vacuums, while also explaining their actions regarding the clearance proposal from May 2010.
