Our Services

Testudo is Wisconsin's most trusted lead paint & asbestos consultant. Our goal is to help protect folks—owners, occupants & contractors—from all dangers posed by lead-based paint and asbestos. We do this by offering thorough training courses & accurate testing services.

Lead Safe Renovator – Initial

Complete this class & you will be eligible to apply for a Lead Safe Renovator certification in Wisconsin, or a comparable certification in a different state for the EPA’s Renovation, Repair & Painting (RRP) rule.

Lead Safe Renovator – Refresher

Complete this class every 4 years in order to remain eligible to re-apply for your certification in Wisconsin or a different state for the EPA’s Renovation, Repair & Painting (RRP) rule.

Lead Paint Testing

We can inspect a small area or an entire building (or multiple units!) using either non-destructive X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) or paint chip sampling. We can also check for lead in dust, soil or water.

Asbestos Inspections

We can test one component or an entire building (or multiple buildings!) for the presence of asbestos-containing material (ACM). This is work is done by destructive bulk sampling of components.
